Toxic albuminuria

Albuminuria caused by internal or external toxins is called toxic albuminuria.

Renal albuminuria

Albuminuria caused by defective renal function, especially of the glomeruli.

Orthostatic albuminuria

It is also known as postural albuminuria. Orthostatic albuminuria is the transient albuminuria in normal individuals who have been erect for a long period.

Intrinsic albuminuria

Albuminuria resulting from intrinsic renal disease. It is also known as true albuminuria.

Functional albuminuria

Intermittent or temporary albuminuria not associated with a pathological condition. It is also known as physiological albuminuria.

Extrarenal albuminuria

Albuminuria due to contamination of urine with pus, chyle or blood.

Digestive albuminuria

Albuminuria following ingestion of certain foods.
